The Women of Temple Shalom (WOTS) are a vital part of Temple Shalom. Our members are active women who seek a wide-range spiritual, social and educational community.

Our ongoing Tikkun Olam projects, include Hanukkah and School Helpers with the Jewish Family & Career Services, and Merry Mitzvah at Maryhurst.  The annual Hanukkah Dinner with Men’s Club is a Temple Shalom congregational highlight.

WOTS provides a variety of programming, including Sisterhood Shabbat, Havdalah, Torah Yoga at KI, and Study Sessions as well as WOTS Book Club, Dinner and Fun, Mah Jongg, and outdoor activities.  Hamantaschen baking marathons is sure to bring out the inner baker.

We are proud to be part of Women of Reform Judaism (WRJ), the international women’s organization of Reform and Progressive Judaism. As part of WRJ, we are affiliated with the Central District, which includes Kentucky, eastern Tennessee, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan and West Virginia. Meetings provide more opportunities to connect with women from many different congregations.  We honored that our own Sheilah Abramson-Miles serves as Central District President.

I am honored to lead WOTS, an important and beloved part of Temple Shalom.
