SHORTY Officers

SHORTY, or Super Heroes of Religious Temple Youth, is the Temple Shalom youth group for high school students. The youth group was founded in the fall of 1995, and has been active in local community service, Temple Shalom activities and NFTY-OV (National Federation of Temple Youth-Ohio Valley Chapter). SHORTY has received regional awards from NFTY-OV and participates in many regional activities.
Locally, SHORTY participates in organized events such as: conducting services, preparing and serving meals on Easter morning at the Wayside Mission, assisting with temple events and fund-raising bake sales. SHORTY members have also conducted the final Erev Shabbat service in the summer and regularly conduct the children's service on Yom Kippur.
SHORTY meets the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month at 6:00 pm in the Temple Shalom Youth Group Lounge. SHORTY is open to all Jewish high school age teens in Louisville
SHORTY is a member of the National Federation of Temple Youth (NFTY).
